Grandma & Grandpa Cox's visit

I made arrangements for Josh's parents to come up for a vist without Josh knowing they were coming. I had them come to my office before Josh got off for the weekend. Lizzy was so excited to see them... she ran right up to them and gave them both huge hugs.... but then became shy. Silly girl.

We hid in my bosses office until Josh got off work. He came into the office and just looked at his parents. He was in shock and had no idea what to think.

They all went back home while I had to finish my work day... they enjoyed just playing. Lizzy was showing off.

When I got home they Lizzy was having a great time playing with Grandma and Grandpa. They were all smiles.

Grandpa kept taking Lizzy's blanket, she was loving it and giggling up a storm. If you look real close at the picture you will notice she had been flying thru the air by her hair.

We pulled out the Wii fit to show grandma and grandpa how much fun it was. Lizzy did the slalom better than all of us put together.....something is wrong there. ;)
The second day Lizzy, Josh and grandma and grandpa spent the day hanging out while I had to work agian. After I got off we went to Costco for dinner, then to the park to play before going to Cold Stone for dessert.
Silly me for thinking I was getting a nice family picture... such cheese balls.

At least we got a good picture of Lizzy with grandma and grandpa.
Lizzy loved the tire swing, at one point Josh had her spinning so much I thought there might be a chance she was going to get sick.
Daddy trying to teach Lizzy how to pump her legs when she is swinging.
Walking back to the car after playing....Aww how cute.
On Saturday we went to the Bird Museum. Lizzy loved all the airplanes.

Think we can fit one more person on the teeter totter???
We went down to the boardwalk at the resort. It was very windy but Lizzy did so well and walked the whole thing without asking to be carried.

After our long walk we went for Mexian.... Lizzy and grandma colored while our food was being prepared. Anytime grandma would set a crayon down Lizzy would pick one up and put it back in her hand.
Lizzy loved the desserts.... it was all over her face.
Because we ate so much at dinner we decided it was time for yet another walk; however the wheels on the stroller were a little flat so daddy had to fix that before we could go.
Blanket -check, teddy bear - check... ok think we are good to go.

Hornet

Lizzy was stung twice by a hornet. She laid down on her blanket the other day after school and there was a hornet on it that assumed it was his blanket. Poor little girl, daddy made up some baking soda past and covered her owie. The one good thing out of this is that we found out she doesn't appear to be allergic to them.

Josh's swearing in

Josh was sworn into his new job on September 15th. He is now a jail tech and enjoying it very much.

On the day of the swearing in Lizzy came to work with us and my boss Barry decided to give her a candy bar..... This would be the result of that candy bar.

Mommy and me day

Josh had to work today so Lizzy and I had a girls day. We started our day off by getting up early and going to the Health Fair with the girls from work. Lizzy had a great time 'collecting' lots of little goodies from the venders. We then went to the park where we played until a little boy about Lizzy's age showed up and wasn't very nice. He pushed Lizzy and then a little while later tackled me, that is when we decided to leave before either one of us got hurt. At least we had a great time while we did get to play.

This is a large play structure that is in the shape of a Fire fighter helmet.

After we left the park we had a few errands to run. Once those where done I asked Lizzy what she wanted for lunch and her answer was 'chicken nuggets'. How could I say no to such a cute little girl that had been so good all day long. We went to Wendy's where she ate a 4 piece meal (she must be on a growing spurt yet again... can't seem to keep her full). We sat right next to each other in the booth and she was so careful while she dipped her chicken nugget and fries in her sauce. When she got sauce on her mouth she would say 'mommy please wipe my mouth'. I would wipe her mouth and then she would lean her head up against me and say mommy 'I love you'..... Aww talk about melting your heart.

Block Party

On Sunday we had a block party. We all had a great time and enjoyed meeting more of the neighbors. We are lucky to live in such a wonderful neighborhood.
I think Lizzy is saying something like 'What do you mean I am out of food????'
Notice the ketchup on her nose, she didn't believe us when we told her that there wasn't any more food on her plate. She proved us wrong by licking her plate clean.
I love the smile in this picture.... It is so cute!!!! Ketchup and all.

Josh's cousin Leslie just happened to be in Coeur d'Alene that weekend with her grandmother. It was wonderful to get to visit. Lizzy enjoyed playing with her phone.

The neighbor girl brought over her hamster and Lizzy thought it was the greatest thing ever. Hopefully she doesn't think she gets one someday. :-}

Thanks to all that helped make the block party a success. We had a wonderful day.

Halloween Costume

So originally we found an elephant costume at Costco that Lizzy just loved. The second she saw it she got all excited. Unfortunately as you can see it is a little to small. My mom asked if we had an Idaho Spud on our hands with the way she is growing.
It gives her a pull-up wedgie.... but look at that cute little butt.

So onto the second round......
We took a trip into Spokane Valley to visit Old Navy. I think I like this costume even better..... after all one of her nicknames is Monkey.
