Visit with Grammie and Papa

Today Lizzy and I drove to Boardman, Oregon to meet up with Grammie and Papa. You might ask what the heck is in Boardman.... the answer to that is nothing, absolutely nothing. The location was picked because it was pretty much the halfway point between our house and my moms. The purpose of this trip was to send Fred to live with my mom. We will miss him lots, but we know it will be better for him.

Lizzy was very excited to see Grammie.

It turned out to be a beautiful day and we were able to go for a walk.

Lizzy asked Grammie to swing with her and how could she say no.

I don't think Grammie and Papa were excited to see Lizzy..... what do you think??

Three generations..... Three beautiful girls!!!!

Within 15 minutes of leaving to head back home, Lizzy was out cold..... All cuddled up to Macy and her blanket.

Parade

Last Sunday we went over to our friends to help them build a float for the parade.

Lizzy got to play with her new friend Logan who she just loves and thinks he is so funny.

Attempting to make a 'slope'.

The final product, the night of the parade. Brenda did such a great job of putting the finishing touches on it.

Monkey used the seal as her back rest, after all she assumed we put it there for that reason.

She was so cool.

Too bad the glasses wouldn't stay on her face.

Protecting Lizzy

Millie has come attached to Lizzy and when she takes her naps on the couch Millie will lay at her feet to protect her.

It's Snowing

It started snowing today... we can't wait to go play in it. There will be more pictures once it is daylight and we can throw Lizzy out in it to make snow angels.

Big Girl Bed

On Wednesday we pulled Lizzy's big girl bed out of storage and said goodbye to the crib. She was so excited and couldn't wait to get into it. She has done pretty well with staying in it at night. There is still some getting up before she falls asleep at night, but not as much as we were expecting.

Can you tell which one is Lizzy in the picture below..... Hint she is the only one with an eyeball you can see. ;-)

Apple Cider - Round 2

Last weekend we went back out to our friends house to help make apple cider.... this round was about 50 gallons worth of cider.

Lizzy was such a big help, she would get the apples out of the water and give them to Josh and I for cutting.

Of course she was quality control.... Lizzy made sure there wasn't any bad apples in the bunch. We did however tell her not to eat to many apples or she would get a belly ache..... Lets just say she ate one too many apples.

When it was time to clean up she was right there helping.

Even Fred got to join in on the fun and have some play time.

Halloween!!

Our little Monkey was replaced with a Monkey.

We went trick-or-treating with some friends and Lizzy had so much fun.

When she got to tired to walk anymore and when Mommy got to tired of carrying her Daddy would put her on his shoulders.... She loved that.

Running to Mommy to show her the candy she just got... she was so proud of herself.

Getting home from trick-or-treating with her loot. What a fun evening we all had.

Pre Halloween Activites

On Friday, the day before Halloween, Daddy had the day off so he planned some fun things for Lizzy. First they come to Mommies work to go trick-or-treating. Of course everyone thought the Monkey coming into the office was the cutest thing ever.

Then they went to Lizzy's school to participate in some fun activities they had planned. First they decorated cookies.

Look Daddy I have frosting on my finger.... do you want a taste???

See my spooky cookie.....

Then they made creepy hands filled with candy corn.

Then it was time to feel slimmy stuff.... oh yummy.

And finally time to make pretty pictures for mommies wall at work.

Carving Pumpkins

We had a great system down for carving pumpkins or pumpkin patch as Lizzy calls them. Daddy cut the tops off, Lizzy and Mommy gutted them and Gramps carved the silly faces.

Watching to make sure daddy does it correctly.

Lizzy wasn't so sure of it at first.... She kind of looked at us like you want me to do what?!?!

But then she got into it and didn't mind all the slimmy insides.... well of course that was after we gave her a spoon to dig with.

While Gramps was carving the big pumpkins we gave Lizzy a marker to 'decorate' her two little pumpkins. They turned out beautiful!!!
