Tug-A-War

Lizzy and Fred were playing tug-a-war..... not sure which one is going to win in the end. They both keep going back for more.

Ghosts and Mummies

Lizzy is in charge of bringing snacks to school tomorrow and since Halloween is just around the corner what better snacks than Mummies and Ghosts......

Ghosts flying on broom sticks

Lizzy helping wrap each one, what a big helper.

Apple Cider

We went out to our friends Ryan and Marcia's yesterday to help make apple cider. Lizzy loves playing with Morgan.

Lizzy taking a break while we all get things set up.

Ryan and Josh feeding the apples into the chipper.

Lizzy helping pull apples out of the tub.

And to think we only touched about 1/6 of the apples...... and we made 27 gallons of apple cider.

A run to the fridge with a load of cider on the back.

Firefighter Day

Today Lizzy's daycare had the firemen come to talk to the kids and I had the day off so Lizzy and I thought it would be something fun her and I could go do together. She was so excited... couldn't wait for the fire truck to arrive. When the did she sat up front and eagerly listened to the story the told. After the story the fireman pulled out all his gear and showed the kids everything thing they wear. He explained how everything protected him. Lizzy was doing pretty good listening very intently.

Once he put on his mask Lizzy decided enough was enough and came running to me crying.

Even after the fireman took off all his gear she refused to let me put her down. She was still interested in seeing everything as long as it was in my arms.

Lizzy got front and center of the picture... partly because I stood next to her and then sneaked away so we could at least get one picture of just the kids.

After the kids got to see the fire truck and all their gear we went back inside where the fireman handed out a sticker, coloring book and helmet to each kid.

Lizzy had a lot of fun... other than being scared. Shortly after we got home she laid down on the couch to watch cartoons and crashed. She was one tired little girl.

Pumpkin Patch

We went to the pumpkin patch yesterday, while it didn't compare to Bauman Farms we still had a great time. Lizzy enjoyed trying to pick out a pumpkin to take home and if she had it her way, we would have went home with almost all of them in the field.

When she got tired of walking she let Dad pull her around.

Still on the hunt for the perfect pumpkin.

Maybe this one????

But at last she found the 'one'..... her smile says it all.

I guess it was time to call it quits when daddy couldn't keep the pumpkins in the wagon any longer.
Lizzy decided that since she did all the work finding the pumpkins, daddy could do the rest of the work and get them all to the car.
