Easter

We have had a wonderful Easter!!!
Last night I got the great idea to allow Lizzy to stay up past her bed time in hopes that she might sleep in a little this morning... boy was that far from what happened. Before bed last night I told Lizzy to put her Easter basket out on the fire place so that EB could fill it while she was sleeping, if he felt she had been good enough. After she went to bed I got to thinking that maybe with the dogs leaving the basket on the fireplace wasn't such a good idea, so I moved it to the kitchen counter. When she got up at 6:30 (yes I said 6:30) this morning, she went racing out into the living room only to discover the EB not only didn't leave her anything but also took her basket. There was one very heart broken little girl, that is until she turned the corner and discovered it sitting on the counter. She started screaming and jumping for joy, I think saying she was excited was an understatement.

I personally think the EB did a great job on the basket this year.

And to my surprise, the EB didn't forget about me.... Awww isn't he just the sweetest.

I told Lizzy that she was not allowed to go through her Easter basket until daddy got up, so she proceeded to pick up his Easter basket and take it to him. She wasn't going to waste any more valuable time.

Time to make deviled eggs.

She was such a big help, and for her first time she did great peeling the eggs.

Hunting for eggs.... Every time she found an egg she would get excited, like it was the first one each time. While this sounds cute and it was, please don't get me wrong, but there was approximately 100 eggs to find. =)

Coloring Easter Eggs

Before we could color the eggs, Lizzy got to draw on them. She focused very hard on making sure she did them just perfectly.

She isn't excited at all to be coloring eggs. =)

The waiting part was torture, or at least she thought so.

Lizzy and her finished masterpiece...... there were only 2 catastrophes the whole night. Not bad when you have 3 dozen eggs and a 2 year old.

Gymnastics

We signed Lizzy up for a couple of gymnastic classes that they were offering. Today was her first one. She was very excited and kept telling us to hurry up and get ready, it was time to go.

It was a mommy and me class, which was a good thing because she didn't want anything to do with it in the beginning.

She did however start to warm up about a third of the way through.

We even got daddy down there to help with some of the obstacle courses.

This was right after she did a somersault, she was so proud of herself.

Mom had to show her that it was ok to fall backwards into a pit of foam.... that is one that mom could have done without. =)

Bouncing on the trampolines were a lot more fun when mom held her and did all the bouncing.

It was a very fun morning, and she says she wants to go back.

House Sitting

Over the last week and a half we were house sitting for my boss and taking care of their to adorable dogs while they were in Hawaii. Lizzy, Chevy and Buggs bonded the first day over their ball. As long as Lizzy threw their ball all was good.

We caught a criminal while we were there, but she escaped and caught captivator.

On the last night we were there we had picked up Lizzy's bed to vacuum the floor and when we went back in the room Lizzy had climbed up on it, covered herself up and was pretending to be sleeping, with snoring and all. What a little goof ball.
